There are various fields of applications for music therapy in rehabilitation. Multiple symptoms and syndromes can be effectively treated with music. For many MT applications there are scientific clinical studies proving their effectiveness.

Music therapy with people with vegetative state (PVS) 

Neurologic music therapy  is an evidence-based approach for phyiologically focussed training techniques with music, such as sensorimotor  (gait training, gross and fine motor training etc.), speech- and language  related (Aphasia a.o.) and cognitive training techniques.

Music therapeutic psychotherapy is another domain for music therapy in rehabilitation settings. Whereby music making and listening as an interactive form of therapy can play an important role for a succesful rehabilitation.
