The <em>Melodic Intonation Therapy - <\/em>MIT\u2122 \u2013 is used to improve speech in people with aphasia (Broca\u2019s type). With the help of <em>Musical speech stimulation <\/em>the use of song-like material can improve speech understanding in addition to language production. It may also be used for various forms of dysarthria (slurred speech), e.g. <a href=\"http:\/\/mit-musik-geht-reha-besser.de\/en\/parkinson\/\">Parkinson&#039;s disease<\/a>) or speech apraxia. RSC\u2122 speech training uses basic skills that are present in all people. A metronome (see <a href=\"http:\/\/mit-musik-geht-reha-besser.de\/en\/zubehoer\/\">equipment<\/a>) sets the speaking pace. Now you practice rhythmically \"in time\". This speech training helps to improve comprehensibility or speaking fluency. By using wind instruments (such as melodica) you can specifically work on lip mobility and breathing function.
